Waiting on Wednesday: Frozen Hearts and Death Magic by Day Leitao

Image
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where we highlight some of the upcoming books we can’t wait to read! I have recently found out about this book, which is great because it comes out later this month! I love a good fantasy romance and I'm hoping this is one that I'm going to absolutely adore. Although, I am kind of worried that it is young adult... I originally thought it was adult because of the cover. I cannot make myself believe that those two characters aren't adults. Frozen Hearts and Death Magic by Day Leitao A forbidden fae kiss could be deadly. Naia was raised in the shadow of her twin brother, the crown prince, who has iron magic much more powerful than hers. But Naia has wishes of her own. They awaken when she finds a white fae almost dying in the woods. She only heard of them in stories; the dreaded race that razed cities to the ground, killed her grandparents, almost rid Aluria of humans—until they disappeared. Now, twenty years

Happenings Away From The Blog Hello and happy Sunday! If you're new here, this is just a post I try to do weekly to talk about things that have happened throughout the week that's not always book-related. This week, not a lot happened. I started my "healthier me" lifestyle. I think I have finally found a perfect blogging/reading/working/being a mom/exercising balance. It definitely helps that I have such a nice support system right now. Obviously, my husband has been a huge help. My work office has also been helping and supporting me in the best ways! I managed to read two books this week! I'm kind of worried that I'm not going to hit my goal this year because my work commute went from 30-45 minutes to like five minutes. I'm not complaining whatsoever. I love my commute now. It definitely helps with balancing all the things I need done throughout the week. So in 2021, I did mostly get ebooks throughout the year. I think I'm going to do less of that and

Waiting On Wednesday: The No-Show by Beth O'Leary

Image
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where we highlight some of the upcoming books we can’t wait to read! I have read two books by Beth O'Leary now and I loved both of them. I recently saw Chelsea read this book and talk about it on her stories and she said nothing but good things about it. I trust her with any romance recommendation! I'm super excited to get my hands on this book! The No-Show by Beth O'Leary Three women who seemingly have nothing in common find that they're involved with the same man in this smart new rom-com by Beth O'Leary, bestselling author of The Flatshare. December Fairyloot Unboxing

Image
Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm bringing you my December Fairyloot unboxing. Please excuse this ugly photo I had to use. I tried taking off the sticker on the front of the box and it destroyed it. I'm currently waiting on Fairyloot to send me a box without a sticker on the front. We'll see if that ever happens 🤣 I will say that this has to be my least favorite box that I have received. I wasn't excited about a lot of the items in this box. I was happy about the second book, just not the book itself. My favorite item has to be the letter opener. I'm pretty stoked about that! Without further adieu, I'm going to get into this unboxing! I typically go in the same order that is on the spoiler card so that's just how I'm going to always do it. The Coldest Touch by Isabel Sterling I normally love getting a second book as an item. Unfortunately, I'm not that excited about this one. I have never heard of this book before and from the look of it

December Wrap Up

Image
This month was super busy. I'm shocked I got any reading done. Christmas always consumes my life and when it's December, it's like my brain cannot consume anything else. I think this has to be the least amount of books I have read in a month this year. Christmas is just more important to me. I am pretty happy with the books I did read though. I read two Christmas-related books and only had one book that I didn't like!  All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata: Omg. I think I love Mariana Zapata. I really enjoyed this slow-burn romance. I just wish there were a couple of things taken out. I hated the nicknames that Rhodes gave Aurora with a passion. ★★★★ The Mistletoe Motive by Chloe Liese: This is my first Chloe Liese read and I loved it. Christmas setting in a bookshop. Sign me up! This was just a super cute and short Christmas read and I had a delightful time reading it. ★★★★★ Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey: This book was unexpectedly dirty. I loved it. Tessa Bai

2022 Bookish Goals & My 2021 in Books

Image
Happy new year! I'm telling you, 2021 was something else. Basically an extension of how bad 2020 was. Covid didn't get better, but I will tell you what did. My reading tastes. 2021 was the year of romance novels for me. I'm so happy with the number of books I read and extremely happy with how many of those books that I loved. But before I show the books I read this year, I'm going to talk about my bookish goals of 2022. Bookish Goals of 2022 100 Books: I'm keeping this the same as 2021. I don't think I'll ever be able to read anything more than 115-120ish books a year. There's no point in trying. Especially now that my commute to work is less than five minutes and that's not enough time for an audiobook. 40,000 Pages: I don't think I've ever had a page goal before. I just thought it would be a nice little addition to my bookish goals. I don't know if I'll reach this one though. Book Blogging: I'm going to try and keep up with m
