Happenings Away From The Blog Hello and welcome back to my blog! It is currently 6AM on my day off. We have too much that needs to be done today. Unfortunately, there is not enough time in one day to get all of it done 😓. I honestly could have done most of it before I went to work yesterday… but I was busy setting up my new template! If you couldn’t tell, I’ve changed up my blog again. I’ve been eyeing this template for the longest time and haven’t wanted to spend the $$$ on it. Well, I was scrolling through Etsy yesterday and saw this one was $20 off. When it’s on sale, you gotta do it. This week wasn’t the best week for me. My mental health slowly depreciated between Monday night and Tuesday night. I ended up calling out of work on Wednesday and sat on my couch watching Reba and eating chicken wings and playing Animal Crossing . By the end of Wednesday, I was feeling better. I’m thinking that working six days last week and almost 50 hours probably just drained me. I’ve come to the

Waiting On Wednesday: A Court Of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

Image
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where we highlight some of the upcoming books we can’t wait to read! I’m not going to lie, I’m having a bad mental health week. I may or may not be posting much this week as I’m trying to get my head back on straight. I just need a break from everything. With that being said, I’m wanting to talk about A Court Of Silver Flames today by Sarah J. Maas. I am so excited about this book. I cannot wait for it to arrive on my doorstep the day it’s released. A Court Of Thorns And Roses is definitely one of my all-time favorite series and I’m excited to see what else Sarah can bring to this world. A Court Of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to

New Authors I Read In 2020!

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl , where book bloggers are invited to share their top lists centered on a certain topic. This week’s topic is focused on authors that you read in 2020 that are new to you! I read from so many new-to-me authors last year. I can’t wait to get further into this discussion. I do want to say that I canceled my giveaway. I accidentally deleted the Rafflecopter giveaway somehow. All the entries are gone. I will be remaking that post either today or tomorrow. Please be on the lookout for that and I’m sorry to those who have to reenter. Let’s get into the new-to-me authors! Erin Morgenstern: Honestly, I love her writing. I do. Unfortunately, I don’t like The Night Circus . I thought this book was boring. It’s kind of put me off trying to read The Starless Sea . I may still give it a try and if I don’t like it, I’ll know that author isn’t for me. K.A. Tucker: I read Say You Still Love Me early in 2020 and for some reason, I never

Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella

Image
About The Book Title: Love Your Life Author: Sophie Kinsella Genre: Romance Pages: 416 Rating: ★★★ Synopsis: Call Ava romantic, but she thinks love should be found in the real world, not on apps that filter men by height, job, or astrological sign. She believes in feelings, not algorithms. So after a recent breakup and dating app debacle, she decides to put love on hold and escapes to a writers' retreat in remote, coastal Italy. She's determined to finish writing the novel she's been fantasizing about, even though it means leaving her close-knit group of friends and her precious dog, Harold, behind. At the retreat, she's not allowed to use her real name or reveal any personal information. When the neighboring martial arts retreat is canceled and a few of its attendees join their small writing group, Ava, now going by "Aria," meets "Dutch," a man who seems too good to be true. The two embark on a baggage-free, whirlwind love affair, cliff-jumping

Books I Meant To Read in 2020

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl , where book bloggers are invited to share their top lists centered on a certain topic. This week’s topic is to talk about books we meant to read in 2020! I know I read a huge handful of books in 2020. Unfortunately, since I do work a full-time job I don’t have all the time in the world to read all the time. (I need to win the lottery so I can read 24/7.) Let me know in the comments below what are some books you meant to read in 2020 and just couldn’t get to them! I’m not going to go into detail about why I didn’t get to these books, I’m just going to post the books and their Goodreads links! (also, I’m only listing nine books for aesthetic reasons, the site I use to make collages have changed everything to where you have to pay for it >.>) Anxious People by Fredrik Backman Tools Of Engagement by Tessa Bailey To Best The Boys by Mary Weber Verity by Colleen Hoover Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams A Dea

Happenings Away From The Blog Hello and welcome back to my blog! As you can see, I’m bringing back my weekly recaps. To be honest, this may just be an excuse to add more blog posts to my page. I’m still trying to be as active as I can. So far, so good. I only had one time during this week that I had doubts about blogging! My mental health has been a bit iffy here and there. There have been days where I cannot do anything but stare at walls and cry. As of today, I am feeling better. I missed some work this week because Marcel told his teacher that he had a headache and they sent him home unless he had his doctor’s permission to come back. I’m trying to not let these kinds of things stress me out anymore. I’m going to just take it as a hint to spend more time with my son. Yes, I may be missing work. BUT, I am getting extra time with my son that I’d rather have than be at work tbh… Work next week is going to be insane. I’ll be working close to 50 hours so I may not be as active on my blog

Let's Talk Book Endings!

Image
Hello and welcome back to my blog! It’s Friday and it’s basically the weekend. Unfortunately, I do have to work a double tomorrow which means I will not be active on my blog tomorrow. I wanted to post something today as I’m trying to be more active with my blog. I wanted to talk about book endings! I just wanted to know what your favorite way for a book to end is. Do you like cliffhangers? Do you like it when everything wraps up perfectly? Let me know in the comments! Personally, I feel like it depends on the book. If it’s a series, it’s okay for a book to leave off on a cliffhanger. But you better not try and pull that crap in a standalone. I do not like it when books are left open for interpretation. I need that author to tell me what the heck is going on. Don’t make me leave it up to my imagination. Please let me know what you think in the comments! I’m really trying to keep my blog going and when I get comments on these discussion posts, it really inspires me to post more!

My Favorite Booktubers!

Image
Hello and welcome back to my blog! I’m trying to stay as active as possible, which means you’re gonna get random posts here and there. Basically whenever I feel like posting. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and stayed up until 6:30 watching Reba and passed back out. I meant to stay up… it just didn’t happen that way 😅. I’ve been wanting to make a post about my favorite booktubers for a while now. I just want to give a cheeky little shout out to those who give me free entertainment and free book recommendations! I definitely prefer watching booktube over watching actual television. I typically watch booktubers who talk about either fantasy or romance novels. Romance and fantasy are definitely my top two favorite book genres and I’m always looking for more booktubers who talk about both. Or just one or the other! Please, leave me some booktuber recommendations in the comments below as I am always looking for new people to watch! **clicking on their channel names will take you to their Yo

Resolutions/Hopes for 2021

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl , where book bloggers are invited to share their top ten lists centered on a certain topic. This week’s topic is “resolutions/hopes for 2021”. I’m pretty sure I can guess what a lot of people hope for 2021… for it to be better than 2020. I’m hoping everyone has a better year than they did last year. Let me know in the comments what some of your resolutions/hopes are for 2021! Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of resolutions or hopes for 2021 because let’s face it… you never know what will happen. I don’t want to get my hopes up for anything just for it to be smashed. Keep Up With My Blog One of my main goals for this year is to keep up with my blog! I used to love blogging until I switched to WordPress and just felt pressured to get likes. Numbers became everything. When I originally started, I hardly got any views and any followers. I was never stressed about blogging. I am now extremely content with how my blog looks.
