Title: Words In Deep Blue Author: Cath Crowley Publication Date: June 6th, 2017 Genre(s): Young Adult, Contemporary Page Count: 273 Order On Amazon Add To Goodreads Synopsis: Years ago, Rachel had a crush on Henry Jones. The day before she moved away, she tucked a love letter into his favorite book in his family’s bookshop. She waited. But Henry never came. Now Rachel has returned to the city—and to the bookshop—to work alongside the boy she’d rather not see, if at all possible, for the rest of her life. But Rachel needs the distraction. Her brother drowned months ago, and she can’t feel anything anymore. As Henry and Rachel work side by side—surrounded by books, watching love stories unfold, exchanging letters between the pages—they find hope in each other. Because life may be uncontrollable, even unbearable sometimes. But it’s possible that words, and love, and second chances are enough. My Review: I honestly cannot remember when I bought this book or where I got it. I know

Top Five Tuesday: Top 5 Badass Females!

Image
I love reading books about a female main character that can kick ass. It makes me feel like I can do all of these amazing things they do. (I know I can’t, but I’d like to pretend.) Reading about it just makes me feel good about being a woman. Empowered, even. Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming topics in February – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list! Celaena from Throne Of Glass: She has to be my number one. She’s so freaking bad ass and always ten steps ahead. She’s so freaking smart and cunning. Such an empowering character.  Chrysabelle from Blood Rights: This series is so underrated. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone talk about this series in the bookish community besides me. She’s an awesome character. For someone who isn’t supposed to be “badass” she totally is. And th

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Meant To Read In 2018 But Didn't Get To

Image
As we all know, being a mom and working full-time means I don’t have too much extra time. Which also means, I didn’t get to every book I wanted to last year. I really wish I had an endless amount of time to read. Oh, how nice it would be! Be sure to leave your answers in the comments as well. I’d love to know what books you guys didn’t get to in 2018. Children Of Blood And Bone by Tomi Adeyemi: I was very excited about this book releasing. As everyone else was in the book community. I just haven’t picked it up. I blame that mostly on the fact that my app hasn’t chosen it for me yet.  A Court Of Frost And Starlight by Sarah J. Maas: I’m honestly saving this book for a time where I’m having withdrawals from my favorite author. Like right now. I’m also scared to read this one because I’ve seen mixed reviews about it and I’m nervous. Furyborn by Claire Legrand: I have been dying to get into this book. I don’t think I’ve seen one bad thing about it. The second book comes out some time

"Two Truths & A Lie" Tag

I’ve decided to start doing a tag every Thursday. Back when I first started my book blog, I did Tag Tuesday. I now do the Top Five Tuesday and I don’t like bombarding with so many posts a day. Unless I post a review on the same day. I saw Destiny @ Howling Libraries do this tag and I new I had to do it as well. It looks like a ton of fun and it’s a great way to get to know me and others. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ How To Participate – from Kaleena’s post:   Create your post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie – but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess! Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post (you can use this HTML code!) REVEAL THE LIE Lie revealed Tag 8 friends to play along. Link back to the original post  so I can see all your secrets.  ______________________________________________________________________________________________________
