Bookish Memories

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl . This week’s topic is to talk about our bookish memories. It’s so nice to look back and look at your bookish memories! Books and Closets This one isn’t the happiest memory, to be honest. As a child, I would hide away in my closet with a little flashlight and a book. When things would get intense at home, I would hide in there for hours. It was a great escape from everything and I’m glad I was able to have one place for myself when I was younger. Tuesday Shopping Day I moved in with my grandparents when I was about twelve or thirteen. During the summer, my grandma would take me and my aunt to Firehouse Subs and to Books A Million . My grandma was so supportive of my reading as she was a reader as well. She always let me pick out a book and always got me books for Christmas. Bookstagram I found bookstagram back in 2015! I had to scroll through over 1,000 posts in order to find my first post. I also used to get so much m

Weekly Recap:

Away From The Blog Hello and welcome back to my blog! I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m still in the process of setting up my blog. I have been slowly adding all of my old posts here and changing the way they look to fit the aesthetic of this blog. It’s going to take a bit of time, there are still over 300 posts I need to add 😅. For these weekly recaps, they’re just going to happen when I feel like making them and when I feel like sharing things from my personal life. I don’t think I’m going to add too much bookish things here. This week, we did a lot of Christmas shopping. We’ve decided to just online shop this year and we’ve done pretty darn good. We only have one more person to buy for and of course, they’re the hardest person. I’m pretty excited to show what I’m getting for Christmas though… I’m kind of bummed that I didn’t get them from Fairyloot because it would have saved us a lot of money. But that’s okay… I guess. I’m sure it makes the seller on eBay happy that there are

Characters I'd Love An Update On

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl . This week’s topic is about characters that we want updates on. I’m not going to lie, most of these will be couples from some of my all-time favorite romance novels. I’m not going to lie… I kind of forget about characters a little bit after I finish the books. I don’t really ever stop to wonder what they’re doing or how they are. That’s why I’m only including three. Arouse by Nina Lane : Liv and Dean! This is a student/teacher relationship novel and I just really need to know how they’re doing now. They went through so many ups and downs and had plenty of hardships. I hope they’re doing well! The Turning by Jennifer Armintrout: Nathan and Carrie! I read this series for the first time while I was in high school. I just need to know how they’re enjoying their lives now that everything was changed for them. Trying so hard not to give any spoilers. Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters: Tess and Q! This was my first venture

End Of The Year Book Tag

I legit honestly cannot believe that it’s the end of the year. This is my favorite time of the year, so I’m glad it’s here. It’s just kind of sad to see it come to an end. So many things have happened this year. So many good things and a few bad things. But it’s always fun to look back and see the books you’ve read throughout the year and make plans for the next year. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? Lore by Alexandra Bracken I honestly just started this book. I’m expecting it to take me a little while to actually finish it though. I haven’t read a fantasy in a while so I’m pretty sure I’ll take my time with this one. Links Goodreads ~ Amazon ~ Kindle ~ Audiobook ~ Book Depository Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year? People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry I feel like this book was the perfect autumnal transition. You still got to feel those summery vibes while in the cooler weather. But honestly, in Florida, summe

Waiting On Wednesday: Crimson Reign by Amelie Wen Zhao

Image
Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where we highlight some of the upcoming books we can’t wait to read! Crimson Reign is a book I’m going to be dying to get my hands on. As of right now, I’m currently waiting on NetGalley to tell me whether or not I’m going to be approved for this book. I’m dying to know how it ends. **this is the third book in a trilogy, please don’t read the synopsis if you don’t want to be spoiled** Crimson Reign by Amelie Wen Zhao Synopsis: The Red Tigress, Ana Mikhailov, has returned to Cyrilia, but the country she once called home has fallen under a dark rule. Recent Reads I Would Recommend

Image
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’m debating whether or not I want to continue my blog. I have obviously been slacking on writing book reviews because my brain keeps worrying that nobody cares. I need to stop worrying about if someone cares about my posts and remember that I do this for me. I personally like making posts, I like taking pictures. I love looking at the end product when I’m finished with a post. I just need to work on my brain and the negativity that floats around in there. With that being said, I’m going to talk about some books that I have read recently and loved! I’m currently working on my NetGalley score. They recommend that you’re around the 80% mark of your feedback sent. At the time of writing this blog post, I am at 22%. 😅 Let’s just say I’m working on it. Obviously, the majority of the books I have been approved for are already out. I’m knocking them out kind of quickly with audiobooks. I need to stop talking and get on with the books now! People

Cozy Reading

Image
For me, the best time of year of reading is during Christmas time. I will say that I do stretch my time with my Christmas decorations longer than most. I start in early October and keep them up until early February. I really love the cozy feel of reading with my Christmas tree up and the smell of winter candles with a hot cup of pumpkin spice coffee. Add in some cozy Christmas music or even a Christmas movie. It’s honestly my favorite feeling in the world. What is cozy reading to you?
