Books I Bought Recently That I'm Dying To Read

As I’ve stated in a previous blog post, I have an app that chooses what book I’m going to read for me. It really beats the struggle of trying to decide what book I’m going to read next. It also helps with making sure books that have been sitting on my shelves for a long time actually get read. I’m not entirely sure this app is something I’m going to continue using. I miss being able to just pick out what I want to read next. Maybe I’ll alternate. Pick one book for myself and then let the app pick one. I don’t know. I’ve been wanting to try out a monthly TBR and I think I’m going to do that in June. Now that I’ve rambled on for a long time, let’s get to the books that I bought recently that I’m dying to read. Also, don’t mind my photo that doesn’t match my themes. I’ve been trying some new stuff out because I’m currently unhappy with the way everything looks right now. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand This is a book I’ve seen everywhere since it was released last year. I finally bought i

Hello everyone! I’m here today with an amazing giveaway. I’m apart of the Kingsbane blog tour. This is my first ever blog tour and I’m excited to be apart of this. This is a series I have yet to start. I’ve heard so many great things about Furyborn and I definitely plan on picking it up as soon as I purchase Kingsbane because I’m most likely going to want to binge them both! The winner must respond within 24 hours or another winner will be chosen! About Furyborn When assassins ambush her best friend, Rielle Dardenne risks everything to save him, exposing herself as one of a pair of prophesied queens: a queen of light, and a queen of blood. To prove she is the Sun Queen, Rielle must endure seven elemental magic trials. If she fails, she will be executed…unless the trials kill her first. One thousand years later, the legend of Queen Rielle is a fairy tale to Eliana Ferracora. A bounty hunter for the Undying Empire, Eliana believes herself untouchable–until her mother vanishes. To find he

Top Ten Tuesday // Books I Refuse To Let Anyone Touch

This is probably going to be the smallest/biggest Top Ten Tuesday list. Why? I don’t let anyone touch my books. So they would all be on this list. No, I will not list them all. You can view all the books I own here . I am one of those people who refuses to let anyone borrow my books. That’s mainly because every time I let someone borrow the book, I never got it back. Or they gave it back destroyed. I spend too much money on my books for someone to either take them or ruin them. The only person, besides me, that is allowed to touch my books is Julian. He’s the only person I trust with them. You can call me whatever you want for not letting anyone near my books. That’s fine.

Title: The Start Of Me And You Author: Emery Lord Genre(s): Young Adult, Contemporary Page Count: 416 Purchase: Amazon ~ Kindle Synopsis : It’s been one year since it happened… When Paige Hancock’s first boyfriend died in a swimming accident, she shut out almost everyone. Now Paige has decided it’s finally time to rejoin the world, and she has a plan. First on the list: go out with Ryan Chase, her longtime and newly single crush. And last on the list: swim. Terrifying, yet possible? But when Ryan’s sweet, nerdy cousin Max moves to town and recruits Paige for the QuizBowl team (of all things!), her perfect plan is thrown for a serious loop. Starting over isn’t easy, but Paige knows the scariest things are usually the most difficult. Can she face her fears and open herself up to life and love again? My Review The Start Of Me And You is a story about a girl named Paige who’s boyfriend died in a swimming accident. It’s mostly about her trying to move on with her life. She’s tired of

How Do You Decide What To Read Next?

I’m still trying to keep my mind busy. With losing Pascal, I’ve been in a depressed state and I’m trying to get out of that. I hate having my son see me not want to interact with the world. I hate him seeing me cry. I’m trying to feel better for him. Ever since losing my fur baby, I’ve been keeping my nose in books. I have finished two books. Escaping this world for a bit has definitely helped me out. I had a constant thought yesterday about how people decide what they’re going to read next. I have all of my unread books in an app called “Randomizer”. I always add my new purchases to this app. I never take a book off unless I read it. Basically, once I finish a book I’ll go to this app and I’ll let it choose a book for me. This really helps with getting books read that have been sitting on my shelves for years. I have been feeling envious to those who make TBRs and stick to them. I’m constantly wanting to do this. Unfortunately, every time I make a TBR, I never stick to it! I think I’m

The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang // Book Review

Title: The Poppy War Series: The Poppy War (#1) Author: R.F. Kuang Genre(s): Fantasy Page Count: 530 Purchase: Amazon ~ Kindle Synopsis: When Rin aced the Keju—the Empire-wide test to find the most talented youth to learn at the Academies—it was a shock to everyone: to the test officials, who couldn’t believe a war orphan from Rooster Province could pass without cheating; to Rin’s guardians, who believed they’d finally be able to marry her off and further their criminal enterprise; and to Rin herself, who realized she was finally free of the servitude and despair that had made up her daily existence. That she got into Sinegard—the most elite military school in Nikan—was even more surprising. But surprises aren’t always good. Because being a dark-skinned peasant girl from the south is not an easy thing at Sinegard. Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Wish Would Be Adapted Into A Movie Or Show

I was going to just not do anything today. I honestly just want to sleep for about a week and ignore everything. If you don’t follow me on Twitter, you won’t know that I had to say goodbye to my cat yesterday. I’m not okay and I miss him so much already. I had him since the day he was born. I took care of him since day one and I was with him until the end. I promise I’m not trying to make you sad or depressed. I just like to talk about him because he was my baby. I’m trying to keep my mind occupied while I’m mourning. Hence, why I’m doing this post today. I plan on immersing myself into The Poppy War and leaving this real world behind for a little while. With all that being said, here are some books that I wish they’d turn into a movie or television show. I’m not going to go into any crazy detail. I’m just going to list the names. Monsters In The Dark series by Pepper Winters A Court Of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J. Maas Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas A Darker Shade Of Magic by V.E.
