Review: Fifth A Fury by Pepper Winters

Goodreads ~ Amazon ~ Kindle ~ Book Depository Here I am, trying to act like everything is normal and write a book review. To be honest, I'm trying to take my mind off things. I feel like blogging and reading will really help keep my mind sane right now. I promise I'm going to talk about Fifth A Fury now. This is the final installment in the Goddess Isles series by Pepper Winters. A dark romance series that I absolutely love. Honestly, I feel like this book could have been shorter. Goodreads ~ Amazon ~ Kindle ~ Audiobook ~ Book Depository I hate that I didn't finish this book. Why? Because I bought this copy from Ben and eagerly awaited it's arrival from the UK. It took longer than normal to get here, due to Covid-19. I'm so sad to say that I have absolutely no idea what was going on in this book. Oh, and something about she can control stars? This book was putting me in the biggest reading slump. I had a hard time reading a physical book because my mind was trying to process everything that was going on in The Girl And The Stars . Maybe I'm just stupid and I don't understand this book. Or maybe.... it's just boring to me? I'm also seeing things that you shouldn't pick this book up if you haven't read some other trilogy by Mark Lawrence, I for

Since the Tox hit and pulled Hetty's life out from under her. It started slow. First the teachers died one by one. Then it began to infect the students, turning their bodies strange and foreign. Now, cut off from the rest of the world and left to fend for themselves on their island home, the girls don't dare wander outside the school's fence, where the Tox has made the woods wild and dangerous. They wait for the cure they were promised as the Tox seeps into everything. But when Byatt goes missing, Hetty will do anything to find her, even if it means breaking quarantine and braving the horrors that lie beyond the fence. And when she does, Hetty learns that there's more to their story, to their life at Raxter, than she could have ever thought
