January Wrap Up I’m pretty freaking proud of how much I read this month. I managed to read six books. SIX! Holy moly. I can’t get over it!!! It was such a good reading month. I loved almost everything I read besides two books.  So far, my new year’s resolution is doing well. Let’s see how long I can keep it up! What did you read in the month of January? What was your favorite? Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Can't Believe I Read

Image
Books I Can’t Believe I Read This isn’t really going to be a list really. It’s just more of a “series I can’t believe I read”.  I bought the Fifty Shades series off someone on Craigslist for all of like fifteen dollars. I read them pretty quick and at the time, I loved them. I thought they were amazing and wonderfully written. Well, my reading taste has gotten better since I read these. I no longer think they’re worth the read. Granted, they introduced me to entirely new world of romance.  These were the first “adult” books I read. I ended up picking up books similar to these and realized that Fifty Shades was terrible.  I’m not going to get into it this discussion much. I’m just going to leave it at this: I wish I never picked these up and I wish I never tainted my brain with them!

Fifteen-year-old Matt Wainwright is in turmoil. Matt is desperately hoping that Tabby will reciprocate his feelings; but then Tabby starts dating Liam Branson, senior basketball star and all-around great guy. Losing Tabby to Branson is bad enough; but, as Matt soon discovers, he’s close to losing everything that matters most to him.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Really Liked But Can't Remember Much About

Books I Really Liked But Can’t Remember Much About I’m pretty shocked that I had a hard time coming up with books for this one. My memory is complete crap. Luckily, I don’t really forget about the books I read. Maybe that’s where all my memory goes? Anywho, I don’t think I’m going to go into a lot of detail about these because it’s kind of hard to when you don’t really remember the books themselves. Sweet Thing Renee Carlino I read Sweet Thing back in April of 2016. It’s going on almost two years. Could I tell you what it’s about? No. I feel like it has something to do with music. And I’m honestly saying that because Sweet Little Thing has a piano on the cover. I could have sworn I really liked this book when I read it. I rated it 3/5 stars on Goodreads. Paper Hearts Claire Contreras I read Paper Hearts in 2015. That was actually the first year I started documenting the books I read. I think this one is like a “forbidden romance” book. Like, she loves her brother’s best friend or so

Review: Millions by Pepper Winters

Millions By Pepper Winters Published By: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform on November 22nd 2017 Genres: Romance, Dark Romance Pages: 368 Purchase: Amazon – Kindle Synopsis: “Love had been given and taken and now…it had been stolen. No one steals from a thief—especially from me—and I will defend what’s mine until my dying breath. It’s not a question of what I’m willing to sacrifice but who to deserve her…” Once upon a time, I stupidly believed if I could make Elder fall for me, everything would be perfect. Now, I’m missing, and he’s hunting, and everything is far from our happily ever after. He gave me his heart, and I gave him my promise, but true love isn’t sacred to others. War is coming, disaster is brewing, and I’m not going down without a fight. Elder is mine. I am his. And no one can keep us apart. Beware Of Spoilers!! My Thoughts:  This was a great ending to a wonderful series. It’s beautiful. It’s bloody. I just couldn’t put it down! Although, a part of me is g

Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Resolutions/Goals

Bookish Resolutions/Goals This week, I’m not going to do any pictures. I think I’m going to give myself a break from setting everything up and just have a nice text post. This is a good topic to do that because I don’t really have to take pictures to let everyone know my resolutions and goals.  I basically have to think of this one as I go. I don’t think I’ll end up with ten resolutions or goals for my bookish life. I didn’t end up with ten goals. That’s okay! Maybe next year I can  have ten goals! Getting Rid Of Books I’ve actually already started this one. I’ve downsized my collection from 715 to 500. I haven’t gotten rid of them yet. I’m going to go through them again just to make sure I want to get rid of them. I’ll be bringing them to a local book store and trade them in for store credit so I can get books that I will be more likely to read.  Read 50 Books I read 54 books in 2017. I know I can do it. Instead of setting my goal at 60 again, I aimed for lower. I felt so disappointed

Review: Thousands by Pepper Winters

Thousands By Pepper Winters Published By: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform on August 15th 2017 Genres: Romance, Dark Romance Pages: 386 Purchase: Amazon – Kindle   Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆   Synopsis: Once upon a time, I didn’t think I’d ever be normal. Now, I’m talking and trusting, and it’s all thanks to Elder. He gave me my life back, and I gave him my heart, but love stories like ours are never simple. I did something to protect him. He did something to survive me. We screwed up. And now, it’s no longer just about us. It’s about safety, sanctuary, and sin. Beware Of Spoilers!! My Thoughts:  So this is my favorite one so far. It’s filled with anticipation and action. I feel like Millions isn’t going to top this one but I really hope it does. This book was really exciting. I didn’t want to put it down because I was too anxious to find out what was going to happen next. And finally, fight scenes. We haven’t had violence since the second book. Maybe the first book? I can’t really

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books I Meant To Read In 2017 But Didn't Get To

Image
Ten Books I Meant To Read In 2017, But Didn’t Get To There isn’t really an order to this list. These are just books that I wanted to read in 2017 but just didn’t have the time to get to but I will definitely make time for in 2018. The Gentleman’s Guide To Vice And Virtue Mackenzi Lee There is so much hype surrounding this book. That’s the main reason I didn’t get to this one in 2017. I’m just so scared it’s not going to be as good as everyone says it is. So maybe the hype will die down and I can gather up the courage to read it.  Love In Lingerie Alessandra Torre I read Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra a while ago. I ordered this book as soon as it was released and I still haven’t picked it up. I don’t know if it’s because it took me a while to read Hollywood Dirt or if it’s just because the cover is pretty revealing. But I definitely will pick it up soon! Lucky In Love Kasie West There’s actually a list of Kasie’s books that I would like to read in 2018 that I didn’t read in 2017. I wen
