Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader . This weeks topic is “Books I Loved with Fewer than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads”. I’m not going to lie, it was kind of hard going through the books I’ve read trying to find books I loved with less than 2,000 ratings on Goodreads. I was only able to come up with eight books. I’m trying my best to not change the topics and stay by the original one. 1. The Last Wish Of Sasha Cade by Cheyanne Young: This book broke my heart. It also mended it. It’s such a great book. 2. Me & Milo The Great by Michelle Schlicher: This will always be a book that I add to a list like this. I wasn’t expecting much going into this book, but I loved it so much. It stuck with me for the longest time. 3. Beautiful Liar by Zara Cox: I really enjoyed this book. I liked the idea of this book. It was a really enjoyable read. 4. Birthright by Jessica Ruddick: This is a fantasy series that I really wish I would have read as they were released. I remember l

I Want A Reading Buddy/To Start A Fantasy Book Club!

I see so many people that buddy read books with others. I really want to start doing this. I need a friend that loves reading as much as I do! I envy those who can talk with someone about books. It’s really hard for me to make friends in real life. I’m awkward and I don’t know how to start a conversation. I feel like online friends is the best way to go! I also really just want to start an online Fantasy book club. I think it would be so much fun! Please comment below if you’d like to join a fantasy book club with me and read a book once a month. I’d love to interact more with you guys online.

Have I Always Been A Reader?

I’ve decided that I’m going to start making discussion posts. I’m just going to post them randomly. Maybe once a week. I really want to try and be more active. And yes, I know I said I switch platforms again. I tried self hosting WordPress and I still did not like it. I will be staying on Blogger and never switching again. This time, I can promise you. Today’s topic is one I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of people talk about. Have I always been a reader? The answer is simple. No. Not always. That’s not even in the sense that I didn’t read when I was baby and whatnot. That’s completely obvious. I don’t even think my parents read to me when I was younger. I definitely have no recollection of that. I started reading around the time Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was released in theaters. When I heard whispers about whether or not it would be like the book, I got curious. I asked almost everyone in my family to buy me the books. Harry Potter started my reading journey. I know a lot of pe

January Reading Wrap Up:

Image
I feel like this was a great start to the year. I read six books! I even enjoyed most of them! I’m really hoping my reading stays like this for the rest of the year. Heck, I hope I read more books a month. I’m really making reading a big priority for me in 2019. What books did you read this month?  ★★★★★ The Wicked King by Holly Black: Oh my, this book was just UGH. I cannot believe I have to wait another year to see what happens. I need it now!!!! Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios: This book was hard-hitting. It’s such an important book. There are a lot of trigger warnings for this book, please keep that in mind. Girl Made Of Stars by Ashley Herring Blake: This is another book that’s a hard-hitting book. I loved this book. It was my first book of the year and I’m glad I finally picked it up. ★★★★ Kingdom Cold by Brittni Chenelle: This book was a shock. I was asked by the author to review this book. This book had the best drama that I didn’t know I needed. It was like watching a

January Book Haul:

I splurged this month. I almost feel kind of bad about it. But I also wish I bought more. I think I may have a problem. Buying books brings me joy and so I’m going to keep on doing it. You can’t make me change my mind. There’s so many great books coming out this year and I’m really looking forward to adding them to my shelves. What books did you get this month? Girl Made Of Stars by Ashley Herring Blake: “I need Owen to explain this. Because yes, I do know that Owen would never do that, but I also know Hannah would never lie about something like that.” Mara and Owen are about as close as twins can get. So when Mara’s friend Hannah accuses Owen of rape, Mara doesn’t know what to think. Can the brother she loves really be guilty of such a violent crime? Torn between the family she loves and her own sense of right and wrong, Mara is feeling lost, and it doesn’t help that things have been strained with her ex-girlfriend and best friend since childhood, Charlie. As Mara, Hannah, and Charl
