A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.

A prince in danger must decide who to trust.

A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.

Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.

In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light. Wicked Saints is the thrilling start to Emily A. Duncan’s devastatingly Gothic Something Dark and Holy trilogy..

tw: self harm, murder, abuse

I feel like maybe I'm too dumb to understand what happened in this book. Or maybe it was just really boring. I tried multiple times to read this book physically and I almost couldn't read it through audiobook. I think I'm going to give up on this series. I don't think it's going to be a trilogy I'll ever enjoy. I may just unhaul both the books. I really wanted to love this book. I'm sad I didn't.

It's okay though. Books are not for everyone. This book is just not for me.
