I received this arc from the publisher for my honest review.

Scrolling through Goodreads, I see that I'm probably one of the few people that didn't absolutely love this book. I did not fall head over heels for it. That's okay. It's impossible for everyone to love the same book. 

Sick Kids In Love follows two sick teens, Isabel and Sasha. I'm saying teens instead of kids because they are definitely not kids. They are teens who just happen to be sick. Isabel has rheumatoid arthritis and Sasha has Gaucher disease. (Please don't ask me to explain what that is, just Google it.) They meet while having to do a drip treatment. I know that may not be the technical term but they both sit in the same room while getting their medications.

Their friendship really blooms from that first time they talk. They both realize they have the same sense of humor and whatnot. They go through the phase of just being friends, because Isabel doesn't date, to becoming something more. 

I'm not entirely sure why I didn't love this book. I enjoyed it for the most part. I'm not gonna lie, I skipped all the parts that was Isabel's column where she asks people questions. I found myself less interested in the story after each time I read a column. I just decided to not read it. 

I also just really didn't like Isabel. I understand she has her beliefs that the women in her family are just mean and she could be just like them. She didn't have to be that way towards Sasha. He doesn't deserve that. He deserves better than her, to be completely honest. 

I also really hated all of Isabel's friends. They're just as shitty as Isabel. The only other side character that I like is Nadia, Sasha's sister. She's cool. 

I think I might give Hannah another chance. Who knows what may happen?
