Synopsis:
Kristen Petersen doesn't do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don't get her. She's also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.

Planning her best friend's wedding is bittersweet for Kristen -- especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He's funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he'd be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it's harder and harder to keep him at arm's length.

I Enjoyed:

  • I cannot begin to explain how much I love it when authors don't allow someone to cheat on their significant other. I love that even though Kristen had so many chances to cheat with Josh, she doesn't. I think it really builds up their relationship.
  • The infertility aspect of this book got to me. I've been there. There are some little miracles that happen. Look at my son. I just really like that Kristen was able to have one miracle.
  • I love that Kristen and Josh are not perfect. I love that they make their mistakes. I love that their relatable. I just love Josh!
  • This was an easy story to read. I was sucked in immediately. It starts off pretty funny and then gets very serious.

I Didn't Enjoy

  • I feel like Sloan deserved more than what she got. Why did Abby have to do this???
  • Kristen not telling Josh about her infertility. She really just made it seem like she didn't want to be with him and it aggravated me so much.

Overall Thoughts

I went into this book for a light, fluffy read. This was anything but. I can realize that this book does have it's imperfections. I'm trying to enjoy books more rather than critiquing them like crazy. I just really freaking enjoyed this book. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It's definitely not light and fluffy!

I will definitely read more books by Abby in the future!
