Beautiful Bastard

Synopsis:

“I’m done hurting her. She’s been hurt enough. It’s time I set her free…”

Once upon a time, I wished to go home and forget.
Now, I’m strong and ready to fight.
Seduced and claimed, Elder no longer just demands my voice, he commands me to be a thief like him.

I refuse.

But he offers me things I shouldn’t want, favours I should run from.
In return for his protection, I’m ordered to steal enough pennies and dollars to buy back my freedom.
Only, we both aren’t prepared for how he changes me, evolves me.

And now it’s my turn to learn about him…

Beware Of Spoilers!!

My Thoughts:
So I feel like this series is finally getting somewhere. Hundreds is my favorite so far. You get a better glimpse into back stories. You get the sexy scenes that you’ve been craving since Pennies. This book really opened up the characters and the story line. It’s definitely made me want to finish the rest of the books as fast as I can.
Pros:
The Setting: I feel like every book in this series is going to be set in a different location. Hundreds is located in Monte Carlo. Correct me if I’m wrong because I feel like I am. I even looked through the book to look for the location. But I really like that Elder is bringing Pim along and letting her enjoy her life.
Pim: She grows a lot in this book. She’s actually becoming a character I respect and like. She’s becoming a strong person. She’s not as stubborn as she was before. And she’s actually talking now so it’s nice to be reading actual dialogue.
Other Characters: So can we just discuss that Jethro was mentioned in this book???? I’m so freaking excited that she’s incorporating other characters from her previous books. It makes me unbelievably happy.
Elder: I just love him more. He loves Pim. He tries so hard not to, but he does. He’s fighting his own inner demons and his past. Having OCD prevents him from loving Pim the way he wants to. He obsesses over her. It makes me pretty sad that he can’t just love her the way she deserves.
Cons:
I’m going to have to say that I’m really disappointed that Jethro was only mentioned in this book. I was really hoping for some scenes with him in it.

Recommend To:
Anyone that can handle a bit of tough love. Not for those who are triggered by abuse or rape.
