Synopsis:

This is a charming story. I like the element of writing to someone that you don’t know and being able to just be completely honest with them.

This book follows two characters. Juliet and Declan.

Juliet was a good girl who was following her mother’s steps into photography. That is, until her mother dies in a car accident that killed her.

Declan was a boy with an abnormal childhood who does something that gives him a record. With a record, everyone just sees him as a bad boy who is going to end up just like his father.

The two meet by a letter Juliet wrote to her mother and left it on her grave. Declan finds it while cleaning up the graveyard for his community service. It all begins when he responds to the letter.

This book had a lot of emotions in it. I wouldn’t call this book a romance novel. I feel like the relationship between Juliet and Declan in this book isn’t romantic at all.  Well, it isn’t until the last page.

This book felt real. All the events that took place in this book definitely feel like they could really happen. The characters were extremely likable. There wasn’t one that I didn’t like. I even liked the mean step dad.

I can’t wait to read more by Brigid!
