I want to give praise to Vera. She pays so much attention to detail in her writing. It’s almost like you’re the main character in the book. It’s so easy to get sucked into her books.
Love Me First follows Bach who is a wonderful pianist. His grandpa has been training him to play since before he can even remember. Sasha also taught other students. Which led him to meet Tallulah and Olive Lansing. He met them both at the young age of eight and he was smitten with Tallulah. Even from a young age, you can tell that Tallulah is manipulative.
Tallulah strings Bach around for quite some time. His infatuation with her completely blinded him to who really loves him.
Olive. The younger and quieter sibling. The sibling who loved him first.
When they finally find their love for each other, they collide quickly. Bach falls head over heals for her and can’t get enough. Until she leaves for Paris and doesn’t come back. His love for her never falters, though.
The ending is a happy one and it’s honestly one that I didn’t want to end on a happy note. I feel like Bach shouldn’t have taken Olive back. I know she ended things because she thought it would help his career. But that wasn’t her choice to make. She left Bach hanging and it broke my heart.
This book was a great read. It definitely was a roller coaster ride for my emotions!
