TW: consent issues

Credence follows Tiernan who goes to live with her step-family after her parents pass away. Jake is her step-uncle. Noah and Kaleb are his two sons. When Tiernan first arrives, she's quiet and doesn't really care about anything. She only meets Jake and Noah at first, Kaleb arrives later.

This really just follows Tiernan getting close to her step-family. I'm going to keep on bringing up the fact that they're not blood related because Tiernan gets really close to all of them when they get stuck on the mountain during the winter. For months.

This book was super taboo and trashy. Did I love it anyway? Yes. I read a huge chunk of this book in one day. This book is chunky too.

This is the first book of Penelope Douglas that I did not give five stars to. There was just an issue with consent with one of the guys in this book and it really bothered me. It wasn't discussed at all in this book and Tiernan just basically says it's okay because he had a traumatic past. I don't care, there should have been some kind of apology and there wasn't any.

I could not give this book a five star rating because of this.
