I went into this book blind. I didn’t really read the synopsis and I didn’t read any reviews of it. This book totally sideswiped me. I’ve read one other book by Jennifer and I honestly wasn’t expecting too much from this book. Oh boy. This book is worth a read. Maybe even two. This book is beyond powerful in so many ways.

“I didn’t know how I was supposed to feel, how I was supposed to move on from this point, but I knew I didn’t deserve something good like this.”

This book floored me. I almost put it down because I was in a reading slum due to the last book I read. And I honestly couldn’t stand Sebastian at the beginning of the book and that alone was almost enough reason for me to put this thing down.

If There’s No Tomorrow follows a girl named Lena. She’s just a normal senior in high school who does all the normal teenage things. Homework, sports, working a job, and partying. Until one night, she makes a terrible decision that leaves four of her friends dead. 

She has to learn how to move on and live with the decision she made. She has to learn how to live with the guilt, She needs to move on. But she doesn’t think that she can. Doesn’t think that she deserves to.

“What does waiting do? None of us are promised a tomorrow … We don’t always get a later.”

This book is loaded with emotions. My heart aches for Lena and her friends. I was in tears throughout the majority of this book.

The relationship between Lena and Sebastian is amazing. Special. Even when Lena pushes him away with hateful words, he stays loyal to her. All he wants is what’s best for her and I’m glad he was a big part in this book.

I recommend that everyone read this book. Especially the younger audience. I really feel like this book could save the lives of people. Please, read this book. Let it sink into you the way it did to me. This book will stay with me forever.
