Synopsis:

Pay close attention and you might solve this.
On Monday afternoon, five students at Bayview High walk into detention.
Bronwyn, the brain, is Yale-bound and never breaks a rule.
Addy, the beauty, is the picture-perfect homecoming princess.
Nate, the criminal, is already on probation for dealing.
Cooper, the athlete, is the all-star baseball pitcher.
And Simon, the outcast, is the creator of Bayview High’s notorious gossip app.

Only, Simon never makes it out of that classroom. Before the end of detention Simon’s dead. And according to investigators, his death wasn’t an accident. On Monday, he died. But on Tuesday, he’d planned to post juicy reveals about all four of his high-profile classmates, which makes all four of them suspects in his murder. Or are they the perfect patsies for a killer who’s still on the loose?

Everyone has secrets, right? What really matters is how far you would go to protect them.

I loved this book. I did not want to put it down and of course, as soon as I got to the really exciting parts, I had to put it down. I was so lucky to win a copy of this book. So, thank you Karen for giving me the chance to read this really amazing book.

This book follows four high school students who are all suspected of murdering their classmate, Simon.

Bronwyn, the brain. Addy, the beauty. Nate, the criminal. Cooper, the athlete. All the typical cliques in high school. Maybe not the criminal, but there are kids who do drugs in high school.

All four of them have a good reason for wanting Simon dead. All four of them have secrets they don’t want told. Simon was just the kind of guy who liked to tell everyone’s secrets.

They all happen to end up in detention together for phones that somehow managed to get into each of their bags. While in detention, Simon suffers an allergic reaction and paramedics don’t make it in time to give him medicine.

They all get investigated. If I’m not mistaken, it takes at least six months for things to even progress. The cops didn’t really seem to know what they were doing, just following anonymous Tumblr postings.

This book is filled with twists and I’m not going to tell you anymore about it because you seriously need to read this book for yourself.

(I’m priding myself right now because I figured out who killed Simon before they did!!)

I feel like this song really fits with Simon and all of the crazy things he represented. He was a twisted human being. I feel like this would have been his theme song.
