This book was a last minute decision, I almost didn’t buy it. I’m beyond glad I did. I loved this book so much! I could not put it down. Jace is the “bad boy” I can’t help but love. He’s rude but with the right intentions. Ali is the innocent girl with a bad home life. He tries to help her, even though it almost backfires on both of them.

At the beginning of the book, I didn’t think I was going to like Jace. He was unbelievably rude to Ali because she’s deaf. We find out why and it’s a good reason why meeting her would upset him. But, it doesn’t excuse his behavior. He notices her bruises and offers to help her to make up for his rudeness. He helps her even though she’s not quite eighteen yet and he could get into serious trouble.

When she hops aboard his RV, she feels a bit awkward and out of place. How can she trust someone she doesn’t know? She has a lot of guts in that department. But he’s true to his word and he helps her as much as he can.

They start getting used to each other. They start falling in love. They share their stories and in turn, heal each other.

This book is absolutely perfect. I loved all of the characters, minus the bad ones. It was so well written for a book that was written for a younger audience
