Review: Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

We met fifteen years ago, almost to the day, when I moved my stuff into the NYU dorm next to yours at Senior House.

This is the third Renee Carlino book that I have read. It is also the best. I fell in love with this book from the first page. This book is about the one that got away, but somehow came back again. 

Matt and Grace met in college, little did they know they were soul mates. They became fast friends and the rest was history. 

That is, until Matt left for South Africa for his dream career. When he left, they lost contact due to the lack of communications in a less fortunate country. Matt married another woman and seemed to have moved on. Only he didn’t move on. He realized that when he saw his Gracie at the subway.

They meet together again, only to find out new things that would change both of their lives. 

They argue, the fight, they love. 

Before We Were Strangers is a fantastic read and I think those of you who have had the second chance love, you need to read this book.
